Early Admit Open House!

Hi guys i was admitted for EA Notre Dame
and i got a info packet from college of engineering on open house

Do they provide airfare tickets and dinner and housing?

Packet just says come and doesnt say any of the cost stuff

Register now for the College of Engineering’s Open House for Early Admitted Students, February. It’s easy; just use the form below.

You can e-mail (ndeng@nd.edu) or call us (574-631-5530) with any questions you may have. Our offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Please respond by. On-campus housing for students will not be available after this date.

^^^This from their web-site from last year, so dates not correct.

Sounds like the student can ask to stay overnight in a dorm. Why not just e-mail or call and ask.

As far as travel costs, I’m pretty sure that the Reilly Program is the only admitted student visitation program that covers travel costs. I don’t know if any meals are provided for the engineering open house since Reilly was the only visitation program I did. You can ask to stay with a student host during any visit if you would like, but, as stated by sassymon, there is normally a deadline for booking this.

Congrats on your acceptance! My son, a current ND Freshman, was accepted EA and did attend the Engineering overnight. He had a wonderful time! They did not provide airfare, but did arrange an overnight with a current student as well as all the food for the time he was there. We also attended with him for a portion of it and were very impressed with the faculty we met as well as the information shared. It was very thorough and I would encourage anyone considering engineering at Notre Dame to go if possible.

So, despite VERY cold weather last year, my son decided to attend and, much of it was due to this overnight and all the people he met there.

thank you so much!

I live in California so airfare sounds like $$
