early decision 2??

were we supposed to hear yesterday. am i just like a glitch or has no one else heard back either.

I haven’t heard anything from GW either! I refresh the page every 2 minutes, it’s very sad. Yes, you’re right! We were suppose to find out yesterday, I have no idea what’s taking so long.

Did you get an email saying your decision would be posted yesterday? They always send an email telling you when to check the website.

Nope, not even an email

Then relax! They’ll email you the day before (or maybe the same day) they post the decisions. It won’t be a Saturday, it will be a weekday.

Yeah, Schmohawk is right. I got in ED1. We were emailed either the Wednesday or Thursday before and then we found out on Friday, December 10. If they haven’t emailed you yet saying that the decision is on its way, don’t worry. They will email you at least a day before to let you know the decision is coming.

I just want to know now

I know, the wait is very hard.

Can someone tell me my chance?

my SATs were 710 CR 710 M and 800 WR

My grades are about B/B+ but I have a medical excuse for not having high grades. (gotta love those 6 concussions/divorce)

I’m a three season athlete, private school student, I have only 1 AP (Studio Art), I’ve gotten awards from national art competitions, I have family at the school, and I’m commended as a National Merit Scholar.

what are my chances?

I wrote my essays about philosophy if that helps…?
And one of the directors of admission put a note of support in my file.

I JUST WANT TO KNOW.

btw. that felt like bragging. I apologize.

In. I have no doubt.

really? care to explain? because I’m iffy about my chances.

The cons of my app is that I really only have one AP and that I haven’t held major leadership positions outside of being a sports captain. I also never took a language because I have a waiver due to a learning disorder.

*are hahaha

Good SATs, decent grades, athlete, NMSF, artist+ ED=you are in. Please post here to let me know that I am right.

The light AP course load may hold you back but being a team captain is decent EC and NMSF is great. Lack of foreign language likely more of a issue here than most as the school is in the nation’s capital and focused on international affairs. Your stats look good but it is hard to know. I would say more likely than not but not a guarantee. The wait must be driving you crazy but it will come soon. Good luck!

Your stats are similar to what my S’ were 3 years ago - similar GPA, SAT scores & he was also a National Merit Commended Scholar (not a semi’finalist which other posters are mislabeling you as). He did take a few more AP’s than you and had a couple of leadership positions (team co-captain, editor on the school newspaper).
He applied RD & got in, but admission rate was a little higher 3 years ago. Not sure how to interpret that.

anyone have any idea when we’re gonna hear back?

I have no idea but it should be soon though

I’m really excited to see who else got accepted to GW :)

HAbbasi28, I just finished calling the office of admissions at GW and the person that I spoke to said to me that the director of admissions is targeting on sending out decisions mid to late february! I cant take this anymore!!!
