<p>Hi everyone! I applied to GW early decision 1...I was just wondering, do we get notified by email on Dec 15th or do we receive a formal letter via snail mail? Or both? Thanks!</p>

<p>but i applied RD, and i'm kinda ticked cause my online app was sent in a while ago, and all my mailed stuff shouldve been there at least 2 weeks ago, but they havent contacted me at all. no email saying "thanks for applying", no confirmation, no nothing. ridiculous.</p>

<p>oh and the common app online says they downloaded my app.</p>
<p>I haven't gotten anything yet! I didn't use commonapp either. I did some more research yesterday and I guess within 2 days of submitting we were supposed to receive a GWid number so that we can track out apps and stuff, but nope..I haven't gotten that either. I'm kind of freaking out...I'm definitely going to shoot them a call tomorrow afternoon.</p>

My school faxed them again, but come on!
I sent the stuff over a month ago!
I never got a confirmation either, but I know they got the Common App because I called.</p>
<p>GW lost some of my stuff as well, had the school fax everything again.</p>
<p>I was perusing other posts and apparently early deicision applicants las year received their notification via email; whereas, regular decision received theirs via snail mail. That seemed to be the consensus, anyway.</p>
<p>Enigma89 - really? wow, then it wasn't the stuff that got lost in the mail then. I'm sure they didn't keep track of everything properly! Their fax machine must be overflowing!</p>
<p>My son was accepted into GWU early decision. We had gotten to know the Recruiter for our area quite well and she agreed to email my son with the results. That year they were later than 12/15. Unless you specifically ask for them to email I believe the letter comes in the mail.</p>
