<p>I was planning on applying Early Decision to Harvey Mudd College, but I stupid stupidly stupidly forgot to get my Counselor's signature, so I'm not going to be able to send it by the deadline (today :S). Does anyone know if the agreement needs to be sent before I can submit my application and, if it isn't sent before the Early Decision deadline, if I can't apply Early Decision now?</p>

<p>Ugh... that's not good. It is supposed to be in. Contact admissions at the college you are applying to ASAP and ask them if they will accept it a bit late.</p>
<p>I just tried and the admissions office isn't open on weekends... I'm sort of hating myself right now...</p>
<p>I can't imagine it's going to void your early application, but if you are really worried about it, maybe you could find her home address and give her the form?</p>
<p>I tried contacting her through the phone number I had, which was the school number for her. Then I tried a few numbers in the white pages, none of which worked either. Also e-mailed her a while ago with no reply. I left a message for the admissions office and am going to still turn in the forms that I can. It surprises me that she didn't remember/know about her needing to sign it, though.</p>
<p>Since Harvey Mudd is on the common app, I don't see a problem. You submit the common app electronically and your school submits the transcripts and the recs separately. Only the common app has to be there by the deadline. The other can follow soon after. I hope that helps you out!</p>
<p>From what my counselor had told me, the letters of recommendation had to have the postmark as the 15th and I assume the agreement form does too.</p>
<p>I'd say submit the form without her signature dated today (by CA or by post) and then fax or send a signed copy on Monday; it they are closed today they wlll be processing many forms early next week and you would then have both the incomplete form (in on time) and the complete form (with only the counselor's signature late) and they may be accepting. I think it is a recent decision to add this (as a control on kids applying outside of ED and hiding the fact) since it was not required a few years ago the last time i did this. We were surprised by the fact too and had to have the counselor send it in separately from what we mailed on Wednesday.</p>
<p>Absolutely send in what you can (common app and supplement if there is one). School forms need to be postmarked by the given date but usually they are a little lenient on this. I would do what has been suggested-mail the unsigned form, and get and mail a signed one ASAP.</p>
<p>I'll see if I can do that. I assume I should also put a note in it saying that the form with the teacher's signature will be sent as well.</p>
