Early Decision Applicants: Updating Officers about Recent Achievements

@anyone who’s applied to college before

If you’re doing Early Decision and win awards/add extracurriculars or something, should you notify your regional admissions officer for that college? If this question was asked before, I’d be grateful if you could direct me to that thread.

Thanks!

If there has been a significant award/achievement since your application was submitted it is fine to send a very brief email to describe it.

Awesome; that’s really good to know!

You can also send it to the general admissions email. I have found emailing specific reps to be hit and miss – and occasionally schools swap rep regions or a rep leaves, and the website doesn’t get updated right away. And yes, you should send it!

The key word here is “significant”.
