Emailing admissions officer about a new award

<p>I got a regional level community service award a few days after I submitted my application to Harvard. Should I email the admissions office to ask them to consider this addition to my application, or would they be irritated?</p>

<p>This post is pretty old, OP may not be checking. But general advice would be to email admissions offices with information if something significant happened, and ask them to please take it into account with the rest of your application. Be sure to include enough info so it is easy for them to match you to your application (name, SSN, and if you got an application number of some kind assigned by the school, include that).</p>
