Early Decision Chances at Wake Forest?

Hello everyone, this is my first post, but I've been looking on here for a while.

So, I was thinking of applying to Wake Forest early decision. I am a white male, junior (class of 2015) at a prestigious all boys school in Massachusetts. Just saw Wake over break and it really has everything I want (nice campus, near/in a city, DI athletics, school spirit, great academics, medium sized...), so early decision is probably what I'm leaning towards right now.

Now for my stats. I have a 3.96 weighted GPA right now and a 2010 on the SATs, which I am taking again this Saturday. I'm currently in 2 AP classes, 3 honors, and 1 accelerated class with my other class being a mandatory religion class. Next year I will have 5 AP classes with honors calculus. Our school is known state-wide for its academic rigor and I'd say I'm in the top fifth of my class.

Along with academics, I am a moderator of Model UN, an editor of the school Newspaper, and a prominent member of the Spire Society, which raises money and organizes events. Outside of school, I do a lot of community service. Last summer I was an intern at Rosie's Place, a homeless shelter in downtown Roxbury. This summer I'm working at Phillip's Academy Andover as a teaching assistant for underprivileged boys and girls from nearby areas Lawrence and Lowell. As a leader, I helped lead freshman orientation the past 2 years, I participate as a tour guide for our campus, and was a shadow leader (an incoming freshman applicant shadows you for a day before applying).

I believe my essay will be very good, as I am an AP English student this year, and I have a good topic revolving around my father and some of his struggles through the years.

I also looked on Naviance and the average GPA for early decision ACCEPTED students was a 3.89 with a 1980 on the SAT. They have accepted 5/9 applications, deferred 2 and denied 2. The average application for early decision is a 3.79 and a 1830 on the SAT. I thought this would be valuable info.

Please be honest with me whether you think I could get in Early Decision at Wake Forest. Thanks!

I think you have a great chance at getting in, especially ED

Looking good. If your school has Naviance or other historical data for who gets in where with what, that would also be valuable info.

Thanks!

Any other opinions would be greatly appreciated

bump. any help appreciated

Think you should be good, work on your test scores and you won’t have a problem.
