Early Decision Chances?

I am looking for any constructive comments from some of you CC veterans out there! I will probably be applying to Northwestern early decision in early september.

ACT: 31 (writing score yet to come, expecting 11 or 12)
GPA: 3.787 UW (No weighted GPA at my HS)
Class Rank: 35/295 Top 11.9% (the people ahead of me took foods and ceramics)

AP
US History: 4
US Government and Politics (Self studied): 4

SAT II: Taking in october. Chemistry, Math level 1 or 2 (Can't decide! Not a very good at math (29 on act math)), and US History. High scores expected, planning on studying hard.

Freshman and Sophmore year: All English and Math classes were "enhanced" (Basically what a tiny uncompetitive high school calls "honors"). Certain required classes (Phy Ed 1 + 2), Geography, Civics, etc.

Junior year transcript:

Pre-Calculus - B+/A-
Biotechnology - A
AP US History - A-/A/A-
Anatomy and Physiology - B+/A
Sociology - A
Enhanced English III - A/A
Phy Ed III (required) - A
Chemistry - A/B+

Senior Schedule will be
AP Calculus
AP Physics
AP German
AP English
Advanced Chemistry (Organic Chemistry)
Economics and Global Issues (Required)

ECs
This is where I think I am really lacking.

Community Service:
-About 170 hours of volunteering as a hunters education instructor at the local fish and game building.
-Undocumented ammounts of time volunteering at various fishing contests and youth/mentor hunting expeditions.

Sports
-1st place winner in a 15 team youth bowling league my junior year. Received award for most improved player and highest 3 game series.
-1st place winner in a community bowling tournament (roughly 13-15 2 man teams)
-Attended Youth American Bowling Associations state competition (did not place (we sucked =P) ).

No real work experience, no musical talent, no student government.

Planning on shadowing a Nurse Anesthetist over this summer.

Planning on visiting Northwestern campus in July.

That about sums it up, I am planning on applying to Northwestern early decision, University of Chicago early action, and University of Madison as my safety school. Intended major is chemistry to gain entrance to medical school, then pursuing anesthesiology as my specialty. My essay will be very strong and my recomendations should be satisfactory. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance everyone and good luck to you all.

I am going to be a junior this year, so I can't really give you any advice or predictions. However, you seem to be in the exact same situations I'm in. We have similar stats, and I also plan to ED Northwestern, EA Uchicago, and apply to madison as well.

So you should let me know how it all turns out for you. I wish you the best of luck!!

also, i am going to be a junior and i intend on applying to nu ed, chicago ea, wisconsin, and i'm also throwing michigan into the mix. my grades, courseload, recommendations, and essays all are going to be up there, but i'm not confident about my ACT score. on the plan test, i was projected a 26-30, which is not nearly as high as i was hoping. granted, i did take it on a saturday morning with a little amount of sleep (yes, they made us come in on a saturday to take it) and i had to leave a section, which i did not finish, to go to the bathroom. if either of you can offer some advice for prepping for the ACT(especially the science section) or even offer some encouragement, that would be great.

bump. Anyone?

what does bump mean anyways?

Bumping is to post a reply to the thread just so it will go back to the top of the front page.

ok, thanks.

Bummmmp. Any input is greatly appreciated.
