So I'm looking to apply to both Wake and BC as my top choices. I don't know if I should apply to Wake ED. I've started to write the essays for wake which is making me lean towards them. I want to go to the business school and I want to receive the highest calibre education but have an active social life and the chance to have a great JYA experience. Visiting both again in July. Anyone in a similar situation? Thoughts?

If you’re not sure, you could always do EA instead of ED. That way you can also compare financial aid packages and are left with more options in the end.

Wake only does ED and regular. BC does EA. Waks’s ED is also rolling. A girl I know applied last summer and found out she got in before she even started her senior year. I would love this but don’t want a change in heart during senior year.

Recently applied ED to Wake. Anyone else apply yet?

We are on the exact same page. Great business school with good social life. I would recommend applying to BC early action and then also applying to other schools with good business undergrad like Villanova, Chapel Hill, or UT Austin. At least those are some of the others that I will be applying to. What would you like to major in?

Hi!
My son applied ED to Wake two weeks ago. He is chomping at the bit to find out.

Good luck to you, StudentClassof2019! Wake seems like a great school for the motivated.

Eniam666 I’m planning on majoring in Business Management and/or Accounting. I will probably be applying to those schools if I don’t get in to Wake ED.

KeystoneGal - 11 days until I hit the 4 week point. Good luck to your son.

@studentClassof19 Yes! Same! Accounting and international business.

My daughter sent her application on June 25 and received her confirmation letter in the mail a few days later. The waiting is tough. Good luck to everyone. Please post when you hear!

Are you guys already getting acceptance letters? I thought kids don’t find out until Christmas!

Wake has rolling admission for early decision applicants so you can find out whether you’re in, deferred, or denied 4 to 6 weeks after you submit your application.

Daughter received her acceptance today and is Thrilled to be joining the Class of 2019. FYI, her application was complete on June 26. We are in state so those farther away may hear in the next few days.

Congratulations! So happy for your daughter. It is encouraging to know they have started to mail decisions. We have our fingers crossed.

@NCMom2015 what were your daughters stats like? I’m sending in my application within the next view days and i’m already beyond nervous!

Has anyone else received their admissions decision? Anyone not from North Carolina?

My daughter wants to apply ED to Wake Forest too. I think it’s a match for her. We visited and loved everything about it. But, I’ve had other parents caution that she may feel like she should have applied to other places when the Winter comes around. I’m feeling like it would be nice to have it all settled soon… no stress of applications, essays and the long wait until April 2015. Thoughts?

As a member of the class of 2018 it was a big relief to not have to worry for the rest of the year! Good luck everyone! I just got my rooming assignment today!

Hasn’t anyone else gotten an admissions decision yet for early decision? It sounds like only one person has received one, which is so odd.

Looking at my daughter’s acceptance letter and envelope, there may have been a mailing problem which is slowing down other receipts. Her letter was dated July 15 but there are two meter strips on the envelope – the date I can see is July 18 and the envelope was received, within NC, July 21. I am thinking that the first meter strip was earlier and that it was returned for additional postage. (Maybe the magazine included this year is heavier that typical?) In any event, other decisions should be arriving any day!

Thanks NCMom. Interesting. July 18th was a week ago. Odd that it would take this long to get outside of NC, but who knows. So far your daughter is the only one with an acceptance on this stream. You must be so thrilled that she was admitted. Many happy congratulations to your daughter! Thanks again for the info re: the mailing dates.
