I heard that to apply to cornell engineering (or some other cornell schools) as an international student under early decision you have to not be applying for financial aid or else you would have to apply under regular decision. Is this true?

Yes. Same goes for international students applying to the other divisions too. I've heard that those who apply ED can beg if there's any budget left over for financial aid after it'd been dished out to everyone else.

So just apply ED for financial aid anyway and the 'beg' after that to see if they can spare u some money?

Just don't apply ED if you're an international and need financial aid to attend. Yes, I am applying ED, because for me, some financial aid would be very helpful but it's not absolutely necessary since my family can scrape out forty grand a year, fortunately.

Are canadians and mexican restricted by such rules???????

because I received an email today saying that they may place my app into regular pool coz intls must NOT be applying for fa under early decsion program..

but ....
