hello! I am trying to decide whether to go ED to Williams or Dartmouth. I would love if someone would give me a run-down on what makes Dartmouth special.
Thanks.

Both schools are more similar than they are different.

I say early decision at Dartmouth. It is slightly easier to get into Williams.

I got into Dartmouth and Williams and ended up matriculating to Dartmouth. I visited Williams before I applied to colleges and loved it! Its in a really cute, small town. I also applied to Dartmouth, honestly because the application was minimal and I figured it couldn’t hurt! When I was waiting to find out which colleges I got into, I was pretty sure that if I was accepted to Williams, that is where I was going to go. I eventually got in to Williams, and other schools. When I went to the Dartmouth accepted students weekend—I also love it! It was really difficult to choose between these schools because they are very very similar. In the end, I chose Dartmouth because I liked that they have a bus system that can take you to Boston and New York pretty cheaply and every day (great for when you need some city) and because it had a CVS!! I know this sounds like a dumb reason, but as a college student you cannot underestimate the importance of a convenience store within walking distance—which Williamstown did not have. Dartmouth also has awesome study abroad programs and most people end up studying abroad at least once while here! The D-Plan is also pretty cool, because you can basically decide when you want to take you “summer vacation.”

Hope this helps with your decision!

Good luck!
