Okay, so, I have applied for early decision I at Vanderbilt University. My qualm is not with that; its with Emory.
So basically, I want to apply to Emory EDII in the event that I get denied from Vanderbilt. The thing is, to be eligible for their Scholars Program, you have to have your application in by November 15th. Since EDII happens after Vanderbilt’s EDI, would that be allowed?
@sumuzu : These are dramatically different schools…are you sure you want to apply to Emory and not elsewhere somewhere else more like Vanderbilt socially and academically? What is your interest academically (Could be possible that Emory was actually better choice to begin with for it or that it is completely irrelevant and thus you should consider a new option)? Also, I believe you can do what you want. The other applications only must be withdrawn IF ADMITTED. Until then, proceed. Keep in mind that they are not going to seriously make you sit around and wait for their decision with no other options in hand if theirs doesn’t work out. Hopefully you’ll just gain admission to Vandy, so that it isn’t a problem.
