Hi, I just got my SAT II scores and they were really dissapointing (my protor didn't let me use my graphing calculator for IIC even though I was told by collegeboard that it was accceptable for the test) and now I can't cancel it. Now I'm doubting whether or not I should apply EA or Reg.Action because I'm planning on studying this summer and taking SATII's in November? What will hurt more? a lower SAT II score than the school's average or applying for regular decision? Thanks in advance!

good question....???

i believe you can still apply early action even if you dont take your SAT 2's until after for some schools.... why not take them in october????

i can't take it in october since i'm planning to take SATI for the 2nd time :(

For people to give helpful answers, we need to know what your scores were and where you're planning on applying.

680 in chem
and 570 in lit (i did badly on this since i decided to switch at the last minute instead of taking the US History exam since everybody was telling me it was harder than the AP multiple choice)... I wanted to apply to Boston U. early but I feel that if I take the US history test and retake chem in November and apply RD, I'll have a better chance of getting in but i still don't know if this is the best way to go

Look at BU's website. Generally colleges will tell you if November's test is still acceptable for ED.

wow, I have a very similar problem. My SATII scores are lower than I expected. I got 700 on MathIIC, 670 on English, and 660 on US History, and I want to early apply to UVA. I know I can do much better if I get a second chance. If I take the SATII's in October next school year, can I put those score on a UVA early application due Nov. 1? That would solve all of my problems. If not, is it easier to get in early decision and should I do it with these lower SATII scores, or should I apply regularly and have better, say around 750, scores?
We need to know your SAT I scores, too. I know you're planning on retaking them, but you may go up or down with a retake. Consequently, we can only give advice by knowing your scores now.

i got 1860 my first time and am planning on retaking it for the second time in october
