The acceptance rates show that people who apply early in the admissions process tend to have a better chance to get admitted into the college. But, I've heard that most students apply early only if they have an outstanding transcript. They have high GPAs and SATs. something like a 95 average or 3.8 gpa. Then they have a 2200.

so does this mean if you don't have those grades you shouldn't apply because there is a huge chance you will be turned down?

also what are the advantages? besides having less people in the applicant pool?

oh what i meant by that is like you don’t have the grades of a superstar which is almost guarunteed admissions. instead of a 95 gpa & 2200 SAT, you have a 93 gpa & 2000 SAT. but that won’t be as good as the 2200 & 95 application… see what i mean?

For most schools, you can find data as to what the 25th Percentile/75th Percentile scores are for SAT and/or ACT. If you’re over the 25th percentile, and your grades look competitive – it’s probably worth at least considering ED if a school is your clear first choice.
