<p>If you go for the early decisions does that mean that you need a higher ACT score and GPA. Is the early decision for the top students who know they are going to get in or can someone with a slightly lower ACT score than the school average get in with early decison.</p>

<p>For early decision you can get in with a slightly lower act and gpa. This depends on the college but, for example, some colleges will take half their applicants from ED and half from the RD pool. So ED applicants have better chance of getting in since the ED pool is smaller.</p>
