Early Decision Rescinding

Hey, i applied early decision to a college and was wondering that if i got accepted, what is there policy on rescinding me - bc if i am rescinded ill be screwed considering that i had to withdraw all other apps. What would they most likely do if my grades were to hypothetically drop.

it depends on the particular college. Some are significantly stricter than others.

If you just get Bs you should be fine.

what about like one C (im not saying i do have one but im just deathly scared that it may happen by the end of this year) - and its Boston U

I think if you are taking really hard classes your senior year and you lets say go from A’s to B’s you will be okay, but if you get lets say one A, two B’s, three C’s etc…than that may be a problem.

Hypothetically what would the grades be going from?

Sorry, posted at the same time.

You will be fine with one C at Boston U. Don’t worry. Enjoy your senior year!

A’s and B’s to maybe one C in AP Chem an A in AP Stat, and a couple A’s and B’s here and there

You do not need to worry! My husband got a C in German and Princeton allowed him to still come. For goodness sakes. Your grades are good. Schools do not want to not let you come, trust me. They will only rescind if you really flub up.

but the problem is that in tenth grade i got two not so great grades for two Semesters in AP Biology - so they may look strictly on that if i do get accepted

Yes, but they accepted you knowing about the AP Biology grades. Just keep all your grades up the best you can and if you get one C, I still think you will be just fine.

And, besides you got in ED. This school does not want to turn ppl away after accepting them. Schools know that you will not have any other offers after getting in ED. Just do the best you can do. That is all you can do. And one final thing. If you stress too much over this, it can hurt you even more. Just relax and work hard and you should be just fine. =)

thanks so much!
