Hi everyone!! Does anyone know what’s the lowest grade one can have and not have your application rescinded. I think my second quarter grades will end with me having all A’s, but I’m pretty sure I’ll end with a C in AP stats. I have not been admitted to BU and may be overthinking, but any advice or help would be great!
The general rule is no D’s, no F’s and no felony convictions.
awesome. thank you!!
okay, so I have been admitted to BU, and I still have all A’s and 1 C. There is no way i can bring that grade to a B, because we only have one more test, and it’s a 71. It’s an AP class so it’s technically a “B-” but still, do you think there is a chance of my application being rescinded?
Again, no d or f grades. If you keep it at a c you will be ok. If it drops, you may be in trouble. Not necessarily rescinded depending on circumstances, but they could make you start your freshman year on academic probation for example, or decrease fin aid.
It’s not a B- to adcoms, if the transcript shows a C.
If you applied as a poli sci or IR major, I wouldn’t worry about a C in stats.
Talk to your GC.
How is a 71 a B, even AP? Our schools are on a 7 point scale and an AP gets 5 points added on at the end if you take the AP exam. So a 71 plus 5 would be a 76, which in our world is actually a D. On a 10 point scale, which I think a lot of schools use, a 76 could be a C, but it would have to be an 80 to be a B. How many points get added for AP?
Adcoms have already admitted the student ED. They will likely not rescind for one c and the rest a’s. If op hadnt already been admitted it would be more of a problem.
@ChattaChia at my school, they add .5 for Honors, and 1.0 for AP’s
@lookingforward whew, i’m a poli sci major
