Early Decision Response Times?

Can anyone give me a general idea when they received a decision for their early application action? (As in how many weeks/months) I applied two days ago and I'm very nervous, heh.

If I remember right, my son in 2005 heard back in about a month.

Yes, about 3-4 weeks. I heard back on the earlier side, so I was quite surprised and didn't even know the envelope was the decision letter (don't be alarmed if it is very small--mine was)
best of luck

does wake give you a decisions in the form of e-mail or do they just send the mailing?

Regular decisions are given through regular mail. Or at least they always have been in the past. I think that early decisions are sent the same way.

if you apply regular decision by october will you still have to wait until march to hear back from wake?

Thanks for the responses, fellas. One week down, three to go. I'm expecting to be deferred though.

i have 2 friends who were accepted a few days ago

If you apply regular decision, it doesn't matter when you apply, you will still not hear back until March. This year, they mailed out decisions March 23rd... mine took FOREVER to get to my house. For early decision, the earlier you apply, the faster you will hear back, simply because there are less applications for them to be reviewing at that point in time.

Bigreddawgie: When did they apply? Any idea? Appreciate it, man.

Going on the fourth week. I hope I'm as lucky as willmingtonwave or mkm's son. :P

Best of luck, JKirk! I check this sight just to see how you are doing! My son is a sophomore at Wake, and is very happy! Best of luck!

Thanks, NJMom, I appreciate it. I know two sophomores at Wake as well but they are from Chicago and West Virginia so judging by your screen name you aren't the right mom, haha.

I still haven't heard anything but according to my dean, they should have a lot of the decisions made by the 15th. That's right on target for what they were two years ago as my friend heard back on the 15th. So again, I don't know if that means they will be mailed the 15th or sometime around there but she did say they told her they would know a lot of the decisions in the next 2 days.

Well, I guess it's coming down to the line.... :)
Veterans Day drove me nuts, knowing mail wouldn't be delivered...arrrgghhh...

So most decisions will be made by November 15th? Ooh wow! :) crosses fingers for everyone
I was afraid I'd be waiting until December 15th.
I'll be waiting by the mailbox with the other ED applicants...that or meeting the mail carrier at the end of the street, lol.

I got my letter a 2 weeks ago but I sent my stuff in in september.

The letter came exactly 5 weeks from the day I sent in my application and almost exactly 4 weeks after the date on the letter they sent me confirming that they had all of my stuff

good luck to all and I look forward to a nice 4 years together

My fingers are crossed too silver, for all of us :)

Congrats on your acceptance x860, hope to see you next year!!!!
Would you mind telling me what kind of envelope they sent you? ;)

Just got my acceptance letter TODAY, and I sent it in about a month ago, so a letter should be coming soon for everyone!! =)

Oh, and Tace, as for the envelope, mine was big with the words, Welcome to Wake Forest at the bottom. ;)

Good luck everyone!! I'll be crossing my fingers for you all!

Congrats Silveronthetree!!!!!!
I'm really happy for all of you guys, hopefully I can join you at Wake next year. I sent mine in Oct 22, so it should be coming soon if not today. Mails coming in a few hours, so I'll look for the big envelope, :)
Congratulations, again, for everyone
