Welp, my daughter just submitted her ED app to TCNJ and now the wait begins. I thought I would start a thread where other ED’ers can join and discuss the process and do some community nail biting, and hopefully some veterans of the process can provide advice.
First topic: Why does it take so long to establish a PAWS account?
My daughter got an email from TCNJ saying “In the coming 4-6 weeks, TCNJ will mail and e-mail you “Self Service” information allowing you to access PAWS (TCNJ’s on-line Self Service system), where you can view your Application Checklist to verify that we have received all of your required documentation.” 4-6 weeks?!? It’s already mid-Oct. If we have to wait up to 6 weeks, she might not have access to PAWS by the time ED decisions are due on Dec 1. We need to be able to track her app and make sure all of the required documentation is received long before then.
My son is about to submit his. Can I ask what your stats are? He is definitely reaching a bit but loves the school.
1590 SAT
3.3 weighted GPA
Sports and extracurriculars.
Hoping he makes it.
Checking PAWS daily, even though I realize the decision won’t come for another 2 weeks.
FWIW, in previous years, CCers have stated that the best way to check PAWS is to click on the “Accept Application” link. Right now, it just says “You have no admitted applications that require action at this time,” but when the decision is made, it will say something else. Supposedly that will happen just before you recieve a decision letter in the mail.
I applied ed and I really don’t think I can wait any longer to find out. TCNJ is my top-choice and pretty much the only school I want to go to. I got into a few back up schools but I just wanna hear from TCNJ.
Do you think I’ll be okay?
