No, but you need to due your due diligence first by running the numbers through the NPC. If the actual award differs dramatically from the NPC, there is no issue. But be aware that the FA you “require” may differ from what you are offered. If the results of the NPC shows that the school is unaffordable, don’t apply ED.
There is no blanket answer to this question. The advantage of applying EA/ED will vary by college.

If a college does NOT offer financial aid to International students, and MOST dont, then it does not matter if you apply early or not. Asking for FA when none is available for International students, will result in your application automatically being denied.
check individual college websites for information regarding their FA policies for non US students.
