Early Decision

I applied early decision, but I have very good 1st semester grades (Straight A's in 5 Aps and 1 Honors). Is it possible to send in like a quarter grade report and would it help my chances???!!

Most colleges will not care. They want to see the mid-term report or final report to base their final decision on you.

It's possible if your GC will do it. It might not help, but it couldn't hurt.

how much do ur chances increase if you do early decision.

it honestly depends on the school, some schools' acceptance rates dont change for early, but for some other schoosl their acceptance rate increases greatly for instance...syracuse's acceptance rate is like 50%ish for their regular, but their early decision acceptance rate is somehwere in the 70%

what about Haas, Ross, Sloan, Wharton?

The admissions percentage increases in early decision or action because the more academically rigerous students tend to apply to these early programs (because they don't need things like senior first semester grades to help them).

I believe I read that on Yale's website.

Then again, some students are encouraged to apply early because they are borderline. It is believed that applying early might give them the boost to get them in where they may not regular decision. Seems like there are two different, possibly conflicting, schools of thought.

My college counselor, guidance counselor, and teachers recommended people that were borderline not to apply under any early decision. I suppose they're following Yale's "advice," if you could call it that.
