Early Notification (EN)

Thanks, and Big big Cong!

One minute ago my daughter received an express mail from rochester, offer with USD 9000/year! Happy ending!

@medboun- i’m an NMF who was accepted EN, and i just got my scholarship letter in the mail today. i was awarded a Prince Street scholarship of 18,000 per year (for arts+academic excellence), so yes it’s possible for NMF’s to get higher ones.

however, UR doesn’t stack scholarships, so if you were awarded a higher scholarship it would be the only one you would receive. for me it doesn’t matter too much since it’s only 1K more than the NMF scholarship, but it’s a nice perk and i feel better with this scholarship since it’s like i truly earned it, as opposed to just being a good standardized test taker! :D

if you are wondering, Prince Street scholarships range from 7500-20,000, which i believe is the range for most other UR scholarships though there are some that are guaranteed 15K or 20K or half/full tuition, and there are also some that are less (a few thousand).

Accepted last week from PA :)

So I applied EN, and I still haven’t gotten my letter… Has the last batch of decisions been mailed?

Call the office immediately tomorrow morning (8:30am). 585-275-3221

I wasn’t included in the first batch of decisions but called and they said I would be part of last weeks batch (which I see got delayed). At what point should I be completely panicking that I haven’t heard yet?

If it says all the application materials have to be in my Dec 1. would that include the school forms such as the transcripts and teacher recommendations?

Yes, all of the required application materials should be sent to the University of Rochester Admissions Office by December 1st in order to qualify as a “Priority Review” applicant.

https://enrollment.rochester.edu/admissions/apply/freshmen/

All students applying Priority Review should select “Regular Decision” on the Common Application and “Priority Review” on the Supplement.

I sent my SAT score in on Monday (26th), but College Board has the tendency to lag the score reports. Is it okay if the scores are in past December 1st?
I also paid the $35 application fee via CommonApp, but it’s not showing up on MyRoc. Will it just take time to show up on MyRoc or should I be concerned?
Thanks!

Will admission decisions come earlier than Feb. 15th??

Are decisions emailed or sent through regular mail.

Sent from my SGH-T989 using CC

Last year they were mailed.

Should the MyRoc page look any different after the application has been completely submitted? Obviously all applications will say incomplete until the midyear grade reports are submitted, but should anything else have changed?

No but when your application starts being reviewed (probs a couple days after all the boxes except midyear report are checked) you’ll see the 1-2-3-4-5 at the top and at the bottom you’ll see who’s reading your application. :)

Anyone else have Midyear report and International Financial support form unchecked?
