Woot. Got a letter from MSU saying if I apply br Oct.6 they'll notify me by Nov.6. How awesome is that? Pretty darn awesome. Who's pumped for senior year and then college. Yeah, me! Woot!!

I got the same letter as well. How "selective" is this program?

I dunno. I have a couple of friends who got it but one isn't a very "top notch" student.

I got it too.

I never got one... :+(

Maybe they just went by where you live and grades. I live in michigan... Could that have something to do with it?

I live in Michigan too and have a 3.6. But, I just signed up to be on their mailing list just a few weeks ago. That might have had something to do with it.

I've never signed up for a mailing list, but I have a 3.7ish and a 33 ACT. Perhaps it goes by ACT?

I think it is based off ACT and signing up for the mailing list (both). I received it so it is for out-of-state students as well

Prolly related to the ACT... I only got a 22 composite... they don't like me... :+/

I live in Mass and I put in my GPA and SAT and I got one.

My friend only got a 19 on the ACT and got it. She didn't join the mailing list either.

^^^PSAT or PLAN test scores also count, so I'm guessing that would be the case for your friend

Yeah I got a letter too and well I live in Jersey.. my GPA is 3.9ish.. but i never took the ACT only the SAT.

LMFAO! I guess I'm the ONLY one that did not recieve this notification... I guess I'm out of the loop.

So I talked to a friend who works at MSU. He said that it's basically a pre-admit letter. You are on a list basically saying if you apply, you're in, barring any major blemishes on your record. That's why you get your response so quickly.

Damn... that really shoots down my confidence in getting admitted... :(

Don't worry, most people on the list don't apply because they go for "better" schools.

Should it really matter? I am finishing my application on the second of september. MSU is admitts on a rolling basis, so shouldn't I recieve a notification the same time as people that recieve the notification???

they send it to about 60,000 prospective students. (i think i remember reading that somewhere)
