HI, this is my first post. I'm just curious what ppl think of my chances getting into colleges like Georgetown, UPenn, Brown, Cornell, and other colleges in that range? im only a sophomore so im jsut figurign out what more i need to do.
191 PSATs (10th)
SPeech and debate (extemp, degree of excellence, hope to be pres in next 2 years), Senate (student gov't, again hope to be pres in next 2 years), FBLA/DECA, won 1st at local meetings in both clubs, JV TEnnis, doing some volunteering at food banks and helping out at the local temple. Sec. of Ping Pong Club. 96.7/100 avg in a school in upstate NY with graduating class of about 800 and rank, according to counselor(they dotn give until senior year) in top 5%. accelerated in core subjects, AP US and Chem this year, AP Physics and advanced econ, AP English in senior year prolly. Essentailly, if there is an honors course in cores, im taking it. also doing soem business classes, dunno if thatll help. thanks!

You have to get that PSAT score up (WAY up), and you need to get some nice state/national level awards in areas that you are really passionate about. You then need to use your application to articulate what you've done really well.

And then you still might get rejected from some schools ... but that's the way it goes. If you actually CAN do that stuff, though, you really should get some nice acceptances.
