Coming from California I couldn't get a flight that arrives early enough Aug. 8 (by 2 pm for P-Wild), so I booked a flight that gets in around 7:30 Aug. 7. Is there a way to arrange to stay on campus? Or am I stuck paying a big hotel bill?
Thanks.

I did the same thing during PWILD last year with everyone else from southern California. I stayed at a hotel and was picked up by PWILD the next morning. There are no on-campus accomodations because summer students are using the dorms.

If the hotel bill is a serious hardship, shoot me an email at jtm10 at duke dot edu and I'll see if I can find an alternate arrangement for you.

runr ... did you receive your Project Wild acceptance already? Did it come by mail, email?

People should have recieved an acceptance or at least a response about their status already. If you haven't, email me at the address I mentioned above and I'll check in for you.

Got it via email! Thx

Has anyone received Project Wave acceptance yet?

Again, you should have recieved an acceptance or at least a response about your status already, PWILD or PWAVES. If you haven't, email me at the address above and I'll forward it on to the right people with PWAVES.

Sleep in Bostock!

Go to floor 4. corner reading room. There is a part of the room that is a castle-turret, very sneaky sleeping area.

The southwestmost portions of the upper levels of the library part of Perkins are typically wonderfully deserted for napping or for graduating. It's a shame that there aren't any graduate student stalls that are just left unlocked for people to use though, that would be nice - no way to be near a window otherwise in Perkins, and it seems like most of the grad students with stalls in Perkins just use them for storage. I've only seen someone in one once.

I've seen someone in a graduate student stall once, and I think I actually screamed. It was a pretty scary moment because they're always empty.
