Early Response Problem

Okay..heres my problem..I sent in all of my stuff to Michigan, but when I went online to check out the status of the app materials, it said that the HS teacher recommendation was not received. What's funny is...my teacher sent out the letter during THE SUMMER, but unfortunately it didnt have my UM ID on there so somehow, someway they didnt get it.

So I found this out like a week before the deadline (Nov 1) for early response and my teacher sent out two letters of rec (one of them had the ID and one didnt), because he sent the first one out before I could give him the ID number to put on the envelope.

Now its been like a week and wolverineaccess has the status of the rec as "Notified": what does that mean? Also...I'm kinda worried...for the early response deadline, does it matter when you send the letter or when they receive it or when its logged online? Im freakin out so please give me a little help..thanks

Call admissions and ask them to find your teacher's recommendation from the summer if they don't believe you. They should be able to do that by keying in your name and social security number.

Thanks, but I already called the second I saw that they handt received it...
and i didnt put my social security number on there, only my name and date of birth
but anyway, they said they didnt get it, so maybe it was a mistake by my teacher

But im still wondering..is the early response "deadline" of Nov 1 based on the date that you send the letter, the date they receive the letter, or the date that its updated online?

Thanks in advance for any help in this matter. :)

I'm pretty sure it's from the day the letter is postmarked, so if they sent it out before November 1 you should be ok.

ok good..

so it should postmark the letter the day it was sent out right?
