Has anyone taken EPS 50? I'm thinking about double majoring or minoring in EPS along with Chemistry.

I can't really find anyone that's taken it. Is it overly difficult (prof will be Dreger), lots of work, etc.? Lecture required? Labs always last 3 hours? Telebears phase 1 or 2?

Labs last as long as it takes you to finish the worksheets, which is generally less than 3 hours. Most people finish it early with 30 to 60 minutes to spare.

Workload? It’s not much at all. There’s a field trip report and the labs. Reading? Well, it depends if you want to do it or not but you should do it if you want to get an A because he gets his questions from the textbook’s test bank. On the topic of his exams, it is multiple choice with short answer. The multiple choice is from the textbook’s test bank and the short answer, Dreger makes it up. The good thing with the short answer is that he gives you a list of the questions that will appear on the exam, and he takes 5 questions from a list of like 20.

Lecture required? It’s not. Often times lecture was made up of like 15 people and the class was like 60 people deep. His lectures are really really boring. I fell asleep in every lecture. It’s not his fault really because the subject material is just very dry.

I never read the book nor paid attention to lecture when I went. I crammed everything from the textbook’s website 2 days before exams and I ended up with the average test score and a B+ in the class. I wish I had done a little more studying because I think I would have gotten an A- for sure.

Telebears phase 1 or 2? I did it in phase 1. It’s up to you if you wanna do the waitlist thing or not. But if you got a good telebears appointment, I would do phase 2.
