Easiest major?

I live in GA and I want to go to law school, which leaves me with basically two options if i want to graduate from law school not swimming in-debt: stay in-state (ick), or OHHHHH CANADAAAAA! I'd love to go to U of T for undergrad, but obv GPA is important for me. what is the easiest major at U of T? Is there such a thing? 32 on ACT, a few extracurrics, I'm in the top 10% of my class and a pretty good writer. Hoping to major in philosophy, lit, psychology, something of that nature. I'm generally the 2nd or 3rd best writer in my AP English classes. Will I be able to compete at U of T? I need at least a 3.8!

what’s easy is depending on what you’re good in…what’s easy for one is not easy for the other. you do not need to declare your major at U of T in your first year so why not sample the core courses in all these majors…that being said ,if you are going to a school expecting easy academics you are attending university for all the wrong reasons.

i’m good at lit/history. ok at bio & all that memorization stuff. **** at math. not complete **** but yeah.

of course i want to learn & all that, get a good job, etc. but yea, if you read what i said i need a high GPA sooo that i can go to law school. so yes, manageable academic workload is a factor. :P

Do commerce or something. Business students usually get the easiest classes.

Just stay away from Engineering Science (I hear the work load is comparable to MIT’s)

A 3.8+ is very, very, very difficult at U of T. Why don’t you just go to a school that isn’t so big (and therefore doesn’t curve as much)? There are other schools in Canada, you know…

3.8 is not impossible … but not easy here at UofT
we tend to bell curve you mark with an average of C- (at least all courses end up with a course average of that sort)

but trust me its not impossible, if you keep up the work and do all the reading you can get an 3.8 but you will have to WORK HARD

cuz many of your friends are gonna be okay with a 2.5, 2.8 and they will have a lot of fun in university but if you discipline yourself and not go out 4 times of week but 2 than its perfectly achievable

hope this helped
