I have a dilemma as I stated in my other thread. I'm definately taking U.S. History in November and most likely I'll do really well. I was also planning on taking Literature, but because of it's difficulty I want to take one more, kind of as a back up in case I absolutely bomb literature. I'm not that strong in math or science and I've had four years of spanish but I'm FAR from fluent. What do you think is the easiest to prepare for on your own? And I mean completely on my own. I've taking Chem and Bio in high school obviously, but they were far from intensive classes (my school doesn't have honors or AP). Any opinions would be great. :)

Biology (if you had the class) and either World/US History.

I'm taking World and US History for sure and expecting good scores, but World isn't offered until december. I had bio as a sophomore... but it was a really easy class and nothing like an AP or honors course.

if you have taken trigonometry/precalculus, then math 2

I think math is easiest to prepare for...

I'm kind of horrible at math. I got a 590 on the regular SAT math section. If there's less "puzzle-ish" problems maybe I'll give it a try. Those are the ones I'm horrible at.

SAT 1 Math is tricky
SAT II Math IC/IIC is straightfoward.

don't make your mind to not take the subject test because you did poorly on the reasoning test.

Math II. You don't even have to study for it if you had good math teachers.

I think chem. You only need minimal background. But you must study on your own if you do have minimal background.

chem.
it only tested on the most basic subject areas. and since you have taken the class before, you should do well on it if you get a review book and study it a little.

IDK. if youre good at math, math ones. Im decent, not godly at math. 680 on math IC, with studying. i really dont think my crappy precalc teacher prepared me enough to take IIC.

If you took AP us history, take its test. I did and got a 790 a year later.

Is chem really that simple? my teacher S U C K E D. if i could do well on it though, i think i should take it.

hell, even if you just took GT. i took GT USH in way back in 9th grade. a couple months ago in 11th, i just went through a practice exam on a whim, no review whatsoever, and still knew the answers to at least 85 out of the 90 or so questions.

US History is really easy because of the repetition in schools. the stuff on the test is stuff we've been learning since middle school or earlier.

Well Barron's chem freaked me out, but the real thing is waaaaaaayyyy easier.
