Can anyone shed any light on the East Asian Studies Program at Bryn Mawr specifically concentrating on China and the Chinese language? Can one eastily take courses in this field at Swarthmore? (Some day, maybe in my dreams, I will make it to BMC as a McBride).

You can generally take classes at Swarthmore only if no equivalent is offered at Bryn Mawr or Haverford. That might be the case in upper-level literature and history courses. The Chinese language program at Bryn Mawr is pretty good, and there's a solid program of civilization courses.
