Anyone wanna help me out? I'm applying to UVA and UNC-Chapel Hill... (I'm in Virginia)

I know about UMich-Ann Arbor, but that's kind of far for me, and kind of big, so I really need to learn more about it before I consider applying there.

Are there any other schools I should take a look at? Georgia Tech I've also eliminated (far away, too far south, bad male:female ratio)

What about Virginia Tech, and University of Maryland?

Virginia Tech I'm applying too as well, I'll take a look at Maryland.

Carnegie Mellon if you've got the stats.

What type of science? Hard Science? Biology? Biotechnology? Neurobiology?

Public Schools of Note in the South...

Clemson University (Engineering)
U of North Carolina-Wilmington (Biology/Ecology)
U of South Carolina-Columbia (Biology)
College of Charlston (Biology)
U of Alabama-Birmingham (Biology, Biomedicine)
