Easy Classes at Cal?

I have a pretty heavy schedule so I am looking for one easy class. Right now its psych 2 with Whitney, D / Walker, M P. Any others?

Spend a good time searching through schedulebuilder.berkeley.edu checking out grade distributions and course descriptions and you can definitely find a class or two to your liking.

I have spent hours on schedulebuilder… most distributions are B+'s. Is there a class that everyone knows about to be notoriously easy?

Are you familiar with any foreign language? If you are, acing an introduction language class should be easy.

^ unfortunately no

search on this forum, i think entire lists have been compiled in the past

search ‘easy breadths’ or ‘easy classes’ etc etc

how are nutritional science and psychology 1? are they hard?

Psychology 1 is pretty pretty easy.

what about psych 2?

Is Music20A easy for a person who’s never dabbled in music?

If you guys want an easier time of searching for breadth options just use this: [Degree Requirements-L&S Seven-Course Breadth and R&C Search](http://ls-breadth.berkeley.edu/search.php)

You can specify breadth to be satisfied, days of the week, lower or upper division, etc. Then just check whatever comes up with Courserank or something. That’s what I did. Yes it takes a while to go brute-force like this, but the benefit is that you get a whole repository of “easy” breadth courses to draw from in the future.

PACS 90. Easiest course there is.

EPS 80 is also notoriously easy, so much so that people have COMPLAINED. EPS 20 is also easy, and the entire south[east] Asian studies department are super-lax graders, particularly in language courses, where average GPA is close to 4.0! Seriously.

But if you’re really looking for an easy class, why not take a DeCal? Some of them are even three credits.

Did you mean PACS 190?

Way back in the day, some engineering majors took business and economics courses as easy social studies breadth courses.

I couldnt find PACS 90/190 or EPS 80

PACS 90 is not in the catalog. PACS 190 is a senior seminar open only to majors.

EPS 80 is listed in the catalog.

EPS 80 isn’t offered this fall is what I meant.

For bio majors:
PH 142
IB 140
IB 169 (this class was the biggest joke of any class I’ve taken at Cal)

Def Nutri Sci 10! Just go over the pwpt slides a couple of days before the 3 midterms and you’re golden (get As on all 3 and you can skip the final).

I was looking at NutriSci but then I saw the ninja overall grade and moved on.
