Hi, I'm thinking about taking a polisci and a philosophy class to fulfill breadth requirements, and was wondering if I could get any advice on which classes to take within these subject areas.

I was thinking along the lines of ancient philosophy (roman, greek, etc) and maybe comparative politics for polisci..any other suggestions?

Thanks! :D

Well Phil 25a is the ancient philosophy class (Plato and Aristotle) and Phil 6 this semester has readings from Greek and Roman literature. I doubt if either of them will be easy, though neither should be graded too harshly. I would sit in on the lecture for both, if time permits, and pick the one you like best.

Thanks for the tip!

Actually, while I'm asking questions, I was wondering if the slavic literature classes are any good...I've always been interested in the works of Dostoevsky and Tolstoy.

If you are interested in the works of Dostoevsky and Tolstoy then I think you should take courses that cover those authors. ;-)

Phil 7 and PoliSci are the ones I plan to take from polisci and phil this year.

Slavic R1A for R&C next semester probably.
