For IOE I need 3 non IOE engineering classes. I've heard in the past that NERS 211 is easy but I heard this year it became hard. Is this true?

Also, how are CEE 211 and MSE 220? Are there any other easy non-IOE tech electives?

I took EECS 270, EECS 280, and CEE 265. Both EECS 270 and 280 are high workload classes and not easy to get a good grade in, but they’re also the only two that provide any chance of being useful. Everything else is worthless. CEE 265 is not hard but incredibly boring and you’re not going to be motivated to do anything for the class.

I can’t really comment on the others. But it’s good to learn some programming so I would recommend you take 280 even though it’s not easy.

The 200 level ME classes (211, 235) are complete jokes, especially if you get Kevin Pipe for 235. That’s not to say he’s not a good professor. He’s actually great judging by the couple times I have been to his lectures. So that’s icing on the cake if you are the type who go to lectures.

NERS 211 is also really easy. Dont take MSE 220, you are required to go to discussion and also you need to show up on time to turn in assignments. Pain in the neck.
