Is the Barron's book for AP Psychology good? I'm self-studying for this test... I REALLY want/need a 5.

For AP Psych, get either the Barron's book, the McGraw-Hill's (5 Steps to a 5), or both. I got both. I self-studied AP Psych last year and got a 5! It was relatively easy!

Barron's: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0764123491/sr=8-1/qid=1142989626/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-4804711-1439810?%5Fencoding=UTF8 <-- The book I used - GREAT review and practice questions!

NEWER Barron's book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0764179098/sr=8-2/qid=1142989673/ref=pd_bbs_2/103-4804711-1439810?%5Fencoding=UTF8 <--- Comes with a CD... The text's content may have actually been updated since the edition I used.

McGraw-Hill: 5 Steps to a 5 - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0071412778/sr=8-1/qid=1142989832/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-4804711-1439810?%5Fencoding=UTF8 <--- Very concise review and great m.c. review! It's also good for setting your own distinct pace as far as review goes.

I hope this is helpful to those of you planning to self-study AP Psych. Don't worry! At this point, AP Psych is a GREAT choice b/c unlike other APs, you can seriously prepare in just weeks (and weeks is all that's left)!! Good luck! If you need any more advice, feel free to PM me!

Anybody know how to effectively study for the APES exam? How is it one of the easier exams? I think it's harder the the AP Physics B exam....

bump 10char

bump 10char

Genesis, you THINK it's harder?? Haha, unless someone has a natural affinity for Physics, it most definitely is harder (yet by no means impossible)! :)

I don't know why..Maybe it's because I've been so absorbed into Physics & neglected APES for most of the year.

Haha. I <3 AP Physics... but my teacher makes it pretty difficult. I thank him a lot for it b/c he's preparing us VERY well for the AP exam as far as Free Response questions are concerned!

environmental science, AP World, AP Euro, Ap Human Geography, and possibly AP psychology if you can do it properly.
Some music lovers I know just ace the AP music theory tests like nothing.

Anybody know of a good prep book for AP French Language?

Thanks CC'ers!

I have the same question, eiffel13.

has anybody ever self-studied/tihnk self-studying would be easy for: AP USH, AP euro history, Bio, or Chem?

I self studied Computer Science AB this year and I think that its very easy to do. You can do it at your own pace and there really isnt that much material to cover. A teacher wouldnt help much anyways. YOu can find whatever you want online since it is a newer subject, and there arent that many books on it.

hey mattd, is comp sci AP really math based?

What books did you use, mattd?

bump for my question-has anybody ever self-studied/tihnk self-studying would be easy for: AP USH, AP euro history, Bio, or Chem?
