Hello everyone,
I'll be attending UCLA as a commuter for my Freshman year and I'll probably be on campus for a big part of my days so I'm wondering where people who don't have Meal plans eat? I know Ackerman is there, but is there any other places that don't require you to swipe in? Thank yo.

Yup, any of these places:

You don’t have to have a meal plan to eat in the all-you-can-eat dorm cafeterias. There are “non-resident meal plans” but they are not worth it. Much simpler and better is to pay for each meal that you decide to eat with your BruinCard. You can pre-load money on your Bruin Card’s EasyPay, and then just say “EasyPay” when you swipe for a meal when you enter. But if you are a commuter, you may not eat dinner on campus, and then this may not be relevant.

if you’re a north campus person… i like the paninis from northern lights. :D
