I found the price of required books are really expensive, which kind do you usually use ? ;;)

I prefer ebooks personally.

More specifically… do you bring laptop or iPad those kinds ?

eBooks usually can work on multiple devices. A laptop is probably better for a large format (8.5" x 11") textbook.

However, although I allow eBooks in my freshman and certain higher level classes, I’ve had to warn against eBooks for classes that have open book exams. If you don’t have any open book exams, eBooks should be fine.

You should check if the professor bans laptops in class, some do.

I prefer traditional textbooks. I’ve found that I prefer real paper. There are many who do prefer ebooks though. They certainly have the advantage of weighing less.

As already pointed out, some professors don’t allow tablets/laptops in class, so that could potentially pose a problem.

ebooks are convenient and usually cheaper, but hard copies you can usually sell when you are done with them, so its a toss up. In the end though I think I prefer ebooks because of the weight of my bookbag. One iPad weighs a lot less than several textbooks!

I prefer textbooks. I do not find ebooks as engaging. I am a hands on learner.

I would still pay the $200 textbook over the $50 ebook.
