There are so many things to do if you are in STEM or business, I was wondering what are some very impressive EC you could do if you were interested in history?
There’s the annual National History Day competition. Volunteer at a museum.
However, both of my kids were history majors and neither did those activities. One did ballet, tennis, orchestra, school tv station, and lots of volunteer projects. The other did theatre, debate & forensics, scholar bowl, tennis, orchestra and choir. They just did stuff they enjoyed.
One does not need any particular ECs for any major. Find what interests you and do it with commitment and passion!
Bump! Who cares about what others are doing. Colleges look at individuals hollistically, so they want to see you as a person. If you work at a museum per say and dont like it and just do it for the application, the colleges will throw you to the side since you are a “generic student”. Do what you want and have a passion for.
