Posting for my DS. He has a lot of music activities - he goes to an arts high school so he plays one instrument in one ensemble, and another instrument in another ensemble. He also plays in a community youth orchestra. He does not want to major in music, although he plans to continue with music in college. He has other, more academic honors and activities, so it's not like music is his only EC.

Should these three ensembles, all of which are different, be listed in three separate entries, or would you list "music" as an EC and then list them in the description? He also has a few honors on each instrument that would need to be listed together if he did it that way.

He has enough room, it's not like he has to consolidate the three activities so he has room for everything else, he probably has 10 entries total. It's just a question about how the admissions people like to see this done.
