"EC/Personal/Volunteer" or "Work"

For the common application…would “working” unpaid as a writing consultant (1 or 2 hrs/week) in the HS’s Writing Center be better classified as an EC/Personal/volunteer experience or a Work experience?

Supposing it was more appropriately classified as an EC, could it be stretched to Work to use space better?
