i thought if you're planning to attend a community college and then transfer to a UC, SATS and ECS didn't matter anymore, but from what i'm hearing is that you have to submit them anyways? does that mean all the ECS i did in hs was pointless and that i would have to do it all over again in college? and study for the sats all over again or chose to submit my old horrible scores?

not at all

not at all to what?

Going to cc wont negate all your previous accomplishments from hs. It is true that if you are a junior transfer your SATs and hs grades are not looked at as much, but that doesnt mean they can't help you. Usually this argument applies to people who did poorly in hs and want a second chance to prove that they can succeed at the college level. Just do as much as you can at cc in hopes of transferring to your top UC. I wouldn't rely strictly on the hs resume to get in though.
