EC Scholars and EA Program

We are just beginning our college search for S13. He has a 4.0 (IB program) /33 ACT. I realize this is above the EC standards but he is interested in the EA program and the study abroad that comes with the EC Scholars.

We are out of state and were wondering what types of merit scholarships they offer. I saw on the website the $10,000 per year for EC Scholars but aren't sure if that is the highest merit award available.

Right now he plans to cast a very wide net to see what happens. Any ideas about a student with his stats making it into the program.

I realize there are many great students at EC and in no way think he will be the best. I just want to make sure he will be challenged.

Any info about scholarships, the EA Program, or just general info would be appreciated.

The Early Assurance program for Brody School of Medicine is only offered (four per class) to North Carolina residents.

Thanks PackMom. The EA program was the major attraction for EC.

I do believe that EC scholars is the top notch part of the Honors College- OOS students in the honors college receive an annual merit award that will bring down tuition to in-state rates.
