I need some suggestions to help me make decision.
Foe ECE, where should I go? University of Illinois Urbana Champaign (Honor), Lehigh or Rutgers (Honor)?

I like all of them, doesn't matter it's small or big, public or private, near home or far away. The FA I got from UIUC and Lehigh are about the same, Rutgers is 15K/year less, because I'm in state, but tuition is not a big factor.

UIUC has very good reputation, Lehigh IPD program gave me strong impression, as Rutgers, if I attend, I will study hard and try to transfer after freshman year, to my dream school CMU.

So, which one should I go?

I would avoid Lehigh - I know someone who went there for EE, and they described it as a very limited (and limiting) program that mostly produces generalists. Rutgers is good, and depending on your ambitions might be a good choice. UIUC is a highly respected program, and if tuition truly is not an issue would seem like the most sensible choice - it will give you the overall best prospects for a job or grad school upon graduation. Still, you have not mentioned any specific ambitions or interests so it is hard to be sure.

Out of curiosity, why is CMU your dream school?

Woo CMU. I’m going for ECE too. =D

If you really want CMU, I guess you could transfer (and save money first year). But UIUC is also a very good choice.

CMU - robotic! That’s the number one reason why CMU is my dream school. You don’t have to be CS major, everyone can take the course.

UIUC (and most other major EE programs) are very involved with robotics, not just CMU.
