Which of the following two classes are harder? By what margin?

I have never taken government at UT but from what I know, some classes are easier while others are essay-based exams which are tougher. Economics is diffucult at UT so unless if you’re taking Stephen Trejo for Microecon its going to be tough. Wiseman is weird in that he isn’t organized and his tests can suck if you are not a good test taker.

To do well in Micro, take a professor you know about through your friends and read the chapters and stay on top of things. Ask questions even if you think its a stupid one because if you don’t understand the concepts it will hurt you on the midterms.

If all else fails when taking Micro, check out Khan Academy or YouTube videos and you can learn that way.

Economics is worse. much worse. Simply because it is a huge class that goes at a quick pace, where as with government it’s mostly reading you do on your own time.

REALLY? Eco is much worse than Gov?? Wow. Should I switch my eco class to gov then? -_-

D had Wiseman for Econ and it was awful. Said his tests had nothing to do with what was covered in class. She took Gov the second semester and I never heard a complaint, except that it wasn’t particularly exciting.

I would avoid Wiseman if at all possible.

^ Agreed, 100%. I had Wiseman last year and his class gave me the first C i’ve ever received college and the first F i’ve ever received on a test. Anyone who has had him will tell you his class is miserable. On the other hand, the lowest exam score I received in GOV 310 was a 92. So yeah, i’d say econ is worse by far.

Thank you so much everyone!! I almost fell down into a deathpit -_-
