So i’m looking at UVM as a potential college - and I’m a little confused. I’m interested in this residential program. But if you are admitted to honors college (hope) then will you be living in honors dorm or something? Or honors college, is it just a program and you don’t have to live in the same dorm with the other honors college participants? but if you have to, which would you pick?
I saw about the eco engineering residential program here http://www.uvm.edu/~cems/?Page=prospect/ecological.html&SM=prospect/_prospectmenu.html
my daughter is planning to attend an accepted students day where we will be asking the same question
unfortunately that won’t happen until March 25th - right before decision time
orioles70, when you find out, please let me know! Good luck to your daughter!
We were there last week for admitted students day. The honors college does have their own dorms and they are beautiful! Students in the honors college are not required to live there, but they said that almost all of them do. Actually, more than one person said, “Why wouldn’t they?” So, I didn’t see any of the other dorms, but the honors college dorms really are super nice and I got the impression that they are a lot nicer than the other dorms. We did not look into the eco engineering residential program, so I have no information on that, but I wanted to give you some feedback on the honors college residential program. They also have the honors college administration offices in the same building, so the dean and the advisors are available right there for the kids. They also have some of the honors classes right there in the building too.
Thanks @SE1619 !
