So... how'd everyone do on their midterms..

i got a 63. I could have gotten a perfect. I know I could have. I had to guess on the last few questions cuz I got stuck on how to do chain rule. Serious. (Y+K)^(1-alpha). I forgot how to do a derivative on that and it took me 20 minutes to figure it out.

Yeah… The practice exam he posted almost had the exact same outline as the midterm. I got around the same as you did and I’m pretty disappointed. Btw how does the grading curve work? He sent out an email but I don’t understand what he meant by the A/B divide and etc.

“As a very rough guide to how your scores might translate into letter grades, the
divide between the A range and the B range might be somewhere in the vicinity of a
67/80 (83.75%), the divide between the B range and the C range might be somewhere in
the vicinity of a 54/80 (67.5%), and the divide between the C range and the D range
might be somewhere in the vicinity of a 35/80 (34.75%). Scores below 20/80 (25%)
might be at risk of failing.”

Doesn’t he just mean that below a 67 is a B and 67 and above is an A?

And yeah. I should have studied the practice midterm. I didn’t really go over it too thoroughly.
