econ 101A

I'm interested in taking this class sometime soon but am worried about my lack of econ background--I took high school econ (non-AP) and that was it. On the other hand, I've taken Math 53, 54, and 110 and done well in those, so my computational math skills should be sufficient. Is it worth my time to review Econ 1/2 notes in preparation for this class, or is the material "self-contained?"

Finally, in what sense is this class more difficult than 100A, other the math? As I mentioned, I haven't taken a real econ class before so I'm not sure what a student would be expected to struggle with on a conceptual level. I've taken numerous physics and engineering classes so I am familiar with approaching and solving simple word problems such as the ones given in those classes.
