I'm thinking about major/minoring or double majoring in economics and computer science. Will my economics education go along fine w/ computer science (they seem like opposite ends of spectrum) or should I stick to studying something more similar, like computer science and computer engineering? Thanks.

Well, you wouldn’t want to do a double major in CE and CE. Too similar… there’d be no real added value.

CS and Econ, though, will go good together. They’re not so very different… I don’t know why you say they’re at the opposide end of the spectrum. They not only compliment each other, but they’re both fundamentally quantitative disciplines with a rich theory behind them.

Go for it!

Thanks for the answer. I only said they are different because economics is a social science.
