Econ/Government major vs Government/American Studies major vs Triple Major

I'm definitely majoring in Government, but I'm currently deciding whether my second major should be American Studies or Economics. I enjoy the former far more than the latter.

My issue with this is that I feel it will weaken my investment banking chances, which makes me want to stick to my original plan. Alternatively, I could triple major...

major does not matter a whole lot, but a high GPA does, especially if it’s a high GPA in a few relevent courses (accounting, corporate finance, and some econ). This helps when it comes to landing that first interview. After that, being able to interview well and answer the technical questions (learned in accounting and/or corporate finance) will be most important.

triple major will also be useless.

Agreed, you’re in Cornell so just worry about your GPA. Dont triple major.

Wait… Can I just drop the Econ major, then?

Can I still go to a top business school with only a Government major?

yes (10char)
