Econ Major and pre med????

I'm a senior in high school. Safe to say I'm getting into SB. I'm very interested in economics along with a pre med track. I've read that Econ isn't great there. Should I double it with something? Or just take an alternate major. SB is by far the school I want to be at so a different school isn't an option. Any advise or insight would be great thanks.

You can major in ANYTHING and still be premed. I heard that the econ department isn’t that great but it is slightly easier to do well in if you enjoy it. If you want minor in BIO or Chem. Also people choose to major in Bio because they think it is better to get into Med school but major in what you like. Be cautious though, majoring in anything other than hard sciences is possible but it can get tricky because you have to fulfill your major requirements along with your premed requirements. One last thing, science classes at stony are no joke and if you come here don’t come in with the mentality that you will do fine just study.
